Invention

The Public Policy Handbook, published annually, will provide your students and graduates with resources for internships with think tanks, advocacy organizations, federal agencies and other institutions engaged in policy analysis and implementation. Students and career counselors have access to programs, deadlines, and applicant qualifications via a password protected website.

Background

The Public Policy Handbook, published annually by the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, is a web-based comprehensive listing of federal, state and advocacy organizations and agencies with internships and post-graduation positions for those with an interest and training in public policy administration and analysis. The handbook lists 200+ programs in areas of policy such as health care, national security, civil rights, constitutional law, etc. The book provides details about programs, deadlines and desired applicant qualifications, as well as the application and selection process. It describes each employer’s mission and organizational structure, and provides links to employer web sites. Also included are deadline tables, and searches by city, topic area, and agency name. Purchase price: $250 for one year subscription (January - December 2014)
