This technology is a novel microscope that uses the chromatic slit confocal detection with chromatic light sheet illumination to improve the image resolution and contrast over a large imaging depth.

 

Background:

Deep tissue imaging is important for detecting and diagnosing epithelial diseases. Current scanning systems are bulky, expensive, and complex. To create a low cost hand held imaging system, a chromatic light sheet microscope with other features is to be used to provide enhanced and volumetric images.
