Radial Fast Spin-Echo (FSE) MRI Pulse Sequence

Case ID:

This invention is a software method that combines radial imaging (taking MRI data radially--from the center, out) with fast spin-echo (FSE) imaging to create faster, more accurate images.

This technology has been demonstrated to effectively image human brains, abdominal regions, and livers.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a very useful tool for imaging inside the human body without having to do invasive surgery. Two of the drawbacks to MRI technology currently are low image resolution and the length of time required to image.

  • Use with current MRI machines
  • Can be a good alternative to T2-weighted imaging

  • Higher image resolution
  • Faster image times
  • Less sensitivity to motion artifacts
  • Better ability to detect lesions in the liver
